Salzburg/Gmunden, 31 Juli 2019 – On Wednesday, 31 July 2019, Gmundner Keramik celebrated the reopening of its Salzburg store in Getreidegasse with a cocktail evening attended by around 100 invited guests. The store was temporarily relocated in 2018 to Sterngässchen, a nearby street in the old town, due to renovation work on the adjacent Hotel Goldener Hirsch. It was able to reopen just in time for the start of the festival season, returning to its original home at Getreidegasse 35 with a completely renovated interior. Guests in attendance included host and owner Markus Friesacher with Elisabeth Eder, managing director Bernhard Kletzmair, governor Dr Wilfried Haslauer with wife Christina, President of the State Parliament Dr Brigitta Pallauf, Mayor of Salzburg Harald Preuner, Alexander and Julia Pappas, Wolfgang and Claudia Porsche, Wingsfor Life CEO Anita Gerhardter and Rudolf Obauer (jr).
Founded in 1492, Gmundner Keramik is today synonymous with high-end Austrian tableware. The unique love of traditional craftsmanship makes each piece unique. The store in Salzburg, like other Gmundner Keramik stores, is situated in a prime location. Standing right next to Trachten Stassny (traditional Austrian costumes), the refurbished store attracts visitors with its high-quality, one-of-a-kind handcrafted in Austria items. The entire Gmundner Keramik range is displayed in area of ca. 30 m2. The shop in Getreidegasse, which has been in Salzburg since 2012, is open on Sundays during the festival season. The additional opening hours give festival-goers, tourists and ceramics lovers an opportunity to take home a true Austrian original from the city of Mozart.
