20,000 visitors to the Academy of Ceramics exhibition at Gmundner Keramik

The second year since the Academy of Ceramics was founded has come to an extremely successful end. This year, six international artists were invited to work at Gmundner Keramik in this format initiated by OÖ Landes-Kultur GmbH and Gmundner Keramik. The artists were able to realise their ideas and visions within the regular processes of the manufactory and present them in an exhibition. They were supported by the Gmundner Keramik team. A second exhibition presented the art of the San, with a selection of the works created during the workshops in the Kalahari.

The lively interest of visitors from near and far remains high. On 15 November, the Janesch family from Leonding welcomed the 20,000th visitor to the exhibition. The curators of the exhibition, Genoveva Rückert and Veronika Schreck, together with Alexander Köck, Gmundner Keramik Prokurist, presented selected objects from the Africa series to the surprised guests.

With the new exhibition „23 x Salzkammergut on a platter“, the AoCG will kick off the Capital of Culture year 2024 on 12/01/2024.
