A bright red Christmas party

The look by Kathi Wörndl

Christmas and a classic red just go together like a packet under the Christmas tree. No wonder that this color should not be missing on the Christmas table either!

The basis of the festive table is a classic white tablecloth. The first color highlight are round placemats in a shade of red. So you get a nice contrast to the dishes.

In the middle I set up the centerpiece with the water jugs. So I’ve already made the first difference in height.

All around, I drape green branches of leaves. They form the second contrast to the red. In between, there are now red apples from the autumn harvest from your own garden, a few walnuts from the walnut tree behind the house and red & gold Christmas baubles as a shiny highlight.

When it comes to serviettes, I use classic, white linen napkins, which I roll around and secure with a gold napkin ring. To „connect“ the napkin to the tablecloth, I stick a small twig in the napkin ring.

I also take gold cutlery to match the napkin rings.

Depending on how big your festive table is, you can add another shiny highlight to the table with other golden accessories – such as golden deer figures. If you want to conjure up even more „warmth“ on the table, you can run a delicate chain of lights over the table.
