Von Trapp Family & Gmundner Keramik
Gmundner Keramik is excited to partner with the von Trapp Family Lodge & Resort and is presenting a very special limited edition to celebrate the lodge’s 75th anniversary in Vermont. To celebrate this milestone, Gmundner Keramik, known for its century-old craftsmanship, has created a beautiful, handcrafted mug and dish exclusively for the resort with the Edelweiss Design.
All pieces are hand-painted and made with care in the factory in Austria. During a trip to Austria in February 2025, Kristina von Trapp had the pleasure of touring the factory, experiencing the artistry firsthand, and learning about the time-honored techniques.

The von Trapp Family
The von Trapp Family became world-famous through their story, which was later immortalized in the classic musical and film The Sound of Music. Originally from Austria, the Trapps were a musical family. The family members performed successfully as a singing group and toured throughout Europe.
Before the Second World War, the Trapps fled the political situation in Austria and emigrated to the USA. There they founded the von Trapp Family Lodge in Vermont, which is now a popular tourist destination.
